Woman’s Club of Bala Cynwyd Calendar, 1929
“To live well, to laugh often, to love much” are the wise words on the front page of a calendar printed in 1929 for members of the Woman’s Club of Bala Cynwyd.
“This looks like it……yes, freedom at last!” wrote Mariano Barone, a Lower Merion resident, to his former high school teacher after his liberation from the German prisoner-of-war camp Stalag IIB (Mariano Barone to Russell Byerley May 23rd, 1945).
