52nd Pa. Infantry
Regiment formed in 1861 with men from Bradford, Clinton, Columbia, Luzerne, Union and Wyoming Counties. Assigned to Army of the Potomac (IV Corp, then X Corps). Involved in 4 combat engagements: Williamsburg, Seven Pines, Fort Wagner, Carolinas Campaign. 219 enlisted men and officers died from injury or illness. 7 of its men died at Andersonville, 13 at Florence. Regiment took part in Grand Review in D.C., then mustered out July 12, 1865. 1 of its men passed through Camp Discharge.
