188th Pa. Infantry

Organized in the field in 1864 with men from Philadelphia and 8 other counties. Took part in 7 operations including Cold Harbor, Petersburg, Richmond, New Market Heights and Fair Oaks. 192 enlisted men and officers succumbed to wounds and sickness during service. 1 died at Andersonville. 4 of its men transited Camp Discharge.
