118th Pa. Infantry

Recruited in 1862 in Philadelphia and known as the Corn Exchange Regiment, referring to its sponsor. Fought in 7 engagements including Fredericksburg, Chancellorsville, Gettysburg, Wilderness, Spotsylvania CH. 141 enlisted men and officers died from injury of sickness. 36 died at Andersonville. Regiment was in Grand Review in D.C., then mustered out June 1, 1865. 12 of its men passed through Camp Discharge, including 5 Andersonville survivors.
