3rd Pa. Heavy Artillery (152nd Pa. Volunteers)
Organized in 1863 with men from Philadelphia and various Pa. counties. Saw action at Suffolk, Gettysburg and Petersburg. After the war, provided the guard for Jefferson Davis's imprisonment at Fortress Monroe. 234 enlisted men and officers succumbed to wounds or ailments during service. 9 of its men were at Camp Discharge, including 2 Andersonville survivors.
