109th Pa. Infantry
Recruited in 1862 in Philadelphia and Allegheny Counties. Served in 14 engagements including Chancellorsville, Gettysburg, Lookout Mountain, Missionary Ridge, and Sherman's March to the Sea. 135 enlisted men and officers died from wounds and illness. 2 died at Andersonville. Regiment merged with the 11th Pa. March 31, 1865. 16 of its men spent time at Camp Discharge.
