76th Pa. Infantry
Regiment ('Keystone Zouaves') recruited in 1861 in Lawrence, Mercer, Blair, York, Bedford, Westmoreland, Luzerne, Beaver, Allegheny, and Schuylkill Counties. Assigned to Department of the South. Involved in 14 combat operations including Fort Wagner, Cold Harbor, Petersburg, the Crater, Chaffin's Farm, Fair Oaks, and Carolinas Campaign. Lost 364 enlisted men and officers to injury and disease. Regiment mustered out July 15, 1865. 1 of its men passed through Camp Discharge.
