58th Pa. Infantry
Regiment formed in 1861-62 with men from Philadelphia, Luzerne, Clinton, Northumberland, McKean, Erie and Tioga Counties. Attached to Army of the James. Took part in 3 combat operations: Drewry's Bluff, Cold Harbor, Chaffin's Farm. Lost 217 enlisted men and officers to injury or disease. 2 men died at Andersonville. Regiment mustered out Jan. 24, 1866. 6 of its men passed through Camp Discharge.
