43rd Infantry, U.S. Colored Troops

Regiment organized in 1864 in Philadelphia. Took part in 8 actions including Petersburg, the Crater, and Appomattox. Lost 239 enlisted men and officers to injury or ailments. 1 died at Andersonville. Regiment mustered out Oct. 20, 1865. 1 man passed through Camp Discharge.
