Durell's Independent Light Artillery Battery D

Recruited in Berks and Bucks Counties and organized in Doylestown. Mustered in Sept. 24, 1861. Saw action at Bull Run, South Mountain, Fredericksburg, Vicksburg, and Petersburg. 24 died in the line of duty. Disbanded and mustered out June 13, 1865, in Philadelphia. 9 of its men transited Camp Discharge.
