197th Pa. Infantry
Recruited in Philadelphia, Delaware and Lancaster Counties in 1864 as a 100-day regiment. Known as 3rd Coal Exchange Regiment. Spent time guarding Confederate prisoners at Rock Island. 6 men died of disease during service. Bulk of regiment discharged Nov. 11 or 12, 1864. 44 of its men were at Camp Discharge.
