So home, at Tunis pint sider 4d the Dutch Blockheads are fireing away the old year; at this moment rioting & Carousing, in stead of fasting & praying that they are one year Older & perhaps a great deal wickeder, the Lord keep me out of Temtation; perhaps near ten OC- not any thing to keep time, & I know not how it Rowls away-- I never never Shall See 1798 again. Great God. have mercey on my Soul ten years this Night Since I begun to write this Jo[u]rnal & I wish it of Some Acct or use to but Little trash, of no Acct; But will Show out, where was my rout. this ten years out without a doubt
