Enrolled Sept. 2, 1861, mustered in Oct. 31 at Camp Observation Md. at age 26, a shoemaker. Wounded in left arm and elbow at Gettysburg July 3, 1863. Sent to Phila. hospital but deserted December 1863. Arrived at Camp Discharge Nov. 1, 1864. Hospitalized there to treat gunshot wound of left arm Dec. 8, 1864. Discharged from service Dec. 22, 1864.
