Had served in 115th Pa Infantry Co. A, mustering in as sergeant Nov. 18, 1861, in Phila. at age 28. Promoted to 2nd Lt.May 18, 1862. To captain June 29, 1863. Discharged June 22, 1864, by reason of consolidation. At Camp Discharge, hospitalized for leg ulcer July 31, 1865.
