99th Pa. Infantry

Organized in 1861 solely in Philadelphia. Attached to Army of the Potomac (II Corps, III Corps). Took part in 25 operations including Second Bull Run, Fredericksburg, Chancellorsville, Gettysburg, Wilderness, Spotsylvania CH, Cold Harbor, and Petersburg. 235 of its enlisted men and officers died of injury or illness. 11 died at Andersonville. Regiment was in Grand Review in D.C., then mustered out July 1, 1865. 32 of its men transited Camp Discharge, 3 of them Andersonville survivors.
