95th Pa. Infantry

"Gosline's Zouaves" formed in 1861 from Philadelphia volunteers. Co. E from Montgomery County. Attached to Army of the Potomac, then Army of the Shenandoah. Fought at Antietam, Fredericksburg, Chancellorsville, Gettysburg, Wilderness, Spotsylvania Courthouse, Cold Harbor, Petersburg, New Market. 255 enlisted men and officers succumbed to injuries and illness. 1 died at Andersonville, 2 at Florence. Regiment mustered out July 17, 1865. 22 of its men transited Camp Discharge, 6 of them Andersonville survivors.
