It is my understanding that they are hoping that demolition will not be necessary but they have filed this permit to protect their rights to demolish if an agreement can't be worked out. --Note with the pre-demolition grading permit 2012-06-27

"Original Building (Auditorium, Choir Loft and 2 rooms behind auditorium) was dedicated Sept. 23, 1923. Cornerstone laid Nov. 11, 1923. First service in auditorium held in May 1924.
The second part of the Church, the Parlor and Sunday School building, was built in 1928 (first services Feb 10, 1929) the result of the efforts of Dr Howard Wayne Smith in obtaining a donation of $40,000 from the Estate of J Howard Supplee" --from the reverse of one of the black and white photographs below included in a binder of memorabilia received from Mary Tenboom.

The applicant also seeks Conditional Use and Preliminary Land Development approval to convert the church into four residential units and retain the existing residential unit in the parsonage.
